Regulatory Framework

1. Conduct Thorough Chemical Risk Assessments
Every workplace that handles hazardous substances must conduct a structured risk assessment that identifies all chemicals in use, evaluates the routes of exposure (inhalation, skin contact, ingestion), and determines the adequacy of existing controls. Risk assessments should be reviewed whenever new substances are introduced, processes change, or an incident occurs.
