ISO 45001 Gap Analysis: Workplace Injury Patterns in Singapore

Workplace injuries in Singapore remain a persistent concern despite decades of regulatory progress. When organisations fail to close the gap between their stated safety commitments and their operational reality, workers pay the price. ISO 45001 — the international standard for occupational health and safety management systems — provides a structured framework to address exactly these gaps. Yet data from Singapore’s enforcement authorities consistently shows that many workplaces, particularly in construction, manufacturing, and logistics, continue to record preventable injuries that a properly implemented ISO 45001 system should have caught. What the Data Shows
