A man suffered serious injuries Thursday afternoon following an explosion at Gold Coast work site.
According to reports, the man in his 60s was injured after high-pressure equipment exploded at about 2 pm.
Ambulance paramedics were called to the Ashmore work site shortly after the incident to treat the injured man.
He was treated for head and chest injuries before being transported to Gold Coast University Hospital for further treatment.
Workplace Health and Safety has been notified of the incident and was reportedly making inquiries.
