This includes maintaining up-to-date Safety Data Sheets (SDS) for all chemicals, properly labelling chemical containers according to the Globally Harmonised System (GHS), providing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), ensuring adequate ventilation and spill containment measures, and training workers on safe chemical handling procedures.

5. Confined Space Safety

Manufacturing facilities must have comprehensive fire safety measures in place, including properly maintained fire detection and suppression systems, clearly marked and unobstructed emergency exits, a documented emergency response plan, regular fire drills conducted at least once every six months, and trained fire wardens on each shift. 7. Worker Training and Competency
All manufacturing workers must receive adequate safety training relevant to their roles. This includes general safety induction for new workers, job-specific safety training for each task or process, refresher training at regular intervals, and specialised training for high-risk activities such as working at heights, operating heavy machinery, and handling hazardous substances.
